- 5 / 5By Hose HoseI've been going to the high corner since I was a baby (now 32). The location is 2nd to none, being at the end of a gravel drive dropping down into forest away from any road. It means that the pub and it's atmosphere are locked away in their own little bubble. There's always a real mix of people there but the one thing that everyone has in common is that they're there to relax and enjoy themselves. The staff are always very patient and cheerful, even during the summer when the pub can get very busy. The food is decent and there's a nice choice of drinks. Dogs are very welcome and there's a great play area for kids in the garden that my son loves. Without doubt one of my favourite pubs!November 16, 2016
